Smile

This is the one i wrote for my District versification and surprisingly got first :D

Being an orphan,

is considered unlucky,

and having parents

is like being damn lucky..

I was in an orphanage

a four-sided cage

I cant explain by anything else,

but the word cage..

I was found infront of a kirk,

they said,

in a navy blue frock,

they said,I was a cute little baby,

they said,

when I'd ask about my arrival..

If I was so adorable,

then why did my parentsjust leave me?
why was i thrown away?

They wouldn't tell me the answer...

They were trying to console me

But ha! thats almost like refilling

a toothpaste tube...

I could never ever be happy...

A smile on my face was hard to spot...

They wouldn't tell me the answer,

no matter what,

and I wouldn't leave it,

no matter what...

A news prevailed in the orphanage,

that a couple was coming on a visit,

who wanted to own a child

amongst us...

Everyone was excited

and were getting ready

as they could jump away from the cage

to the land of happiness and joy...

The couple arrived..

and were mingling with everyone..

I sat in a corner,

flying in thoughts...

I didn't notice that,

she was walking towards me,

but realized when she said,

"Oh! what an adorable child! I want her!

I knew she was mine from the very first glance...!"

I was adopted,

and in the apex,

they asked me..

whether there was anything

I wanted to tke along with me..

Finding my chance,

I asked them,

Why was i thrown??
Why is it that I dont have parents??

Before I could ask anything more...

she took me into her hands and said...

"So that I can find you,

and give you all the love and care you'd ever need....."

I had goosebumps...

I hugged her tight and smiled....

A smile that has been

                       striving to come out.......
